Yep! I finally did it! QUIT MY JOB!!!

I am thrilled to report that I'm going to be staying home with the boys full time! We've been praying and thinking about this a lot and the time is now! My last day at GMAC Mortgage will be next Thursday, June 25th!

Now...hopefully...I can keep up with blogging!

Girls Weekend 2009 - Nashville

I'm a terrible blogger...and almost as bad on facebook... So, here goes...I'm going to try to be better about blogging. So, instead of trying to catch up I'm just going to start now!

Last weekend was our 6th (if you count Misti's wedding last year - and DeShea's wedding years ago) annual HU girls weekend. We rotate each year where we meet. Last year we saw everyone at Misti's wedding in Little Rock and this year we headed to DeShea's house in Nashville and finally got to meet Bella Blue! She is a doll! I can't believe I got away without a picture of this precious girl!

Wendy, Misti, DeShea, Julie and I had a wonderful time together. Our typical girls weekend includes shopping, catching up, eating....shoppping...eating... you know the drill! We have to cram in a years worth of catching up in to 3 days! We were lucky enough to see some other HU girlfriends Friday night - MaryAnn, Jessica and Linda. It was SO great to see them! My goodness...I think it had been 7+ years since we've seen them. It is always so much fun to reminisce about the college years and laugh about all the fun time we had at HU...and also marvel at where we are now...some married...some with kids...it's great to see how much everyone has accomplished since we all graduated.

I'm counting the days until next year! We'll be off to AR to see Misti and Chad!

Yes, I'm still around...

I really haven't fallen off the face of the earth! Just to sum up my January...my boss resigned, 4 additional people resigned...needless to say I can't see straight at work. I'm now reporting up through someone in our PA office. It has its benefits, and most definitely its challenges.

Bryce is officially a mover and shaker and has been walking for a little over a month now. He is a hoot! I have no idea where he gets all of his silly moves from. He has his moments, but is such fun! Landon is doing well and growing like a weed...and has just about busted out the knees of every pair of jeans he has. I have no idea how he does this....could it be all the time he spends outside? Probably...no complaints though. We'll just invest in some patches right?

Also, Emily Anne's is moving forward in full force! Kelly and I are going to go to First Monday in Canton the last weekend of this month and have been working feverishly to get things made in time. For those of you out of the great state of TX, Canton is the MECCA of trade shows...and is infamous for crazy Texas shoppers.

Happy Holidays...if you like Santa and all...

which Bryce does not, as you can tell. Our outing to see Santa was considered a success because Landon FINALLY sat on his lap and wasn't afraid...although he is a little stiff! Bryce did not tell Santa what he wanted, so who knows what he'll end up getting. ;) Landon told Santa he wants a kitchen. He also informed me (after I told him that Santa may have to save his kitchens for other boys and girls that have no kitchens to play with - Marmie and Grandpa have one) that Santa heard him and would remember to bring him a kitchen. Oh well...guess we'll see what Santa shows up with this year. Santa may have to rethink a few things...

Here is our one attempt to get a family Christmas picture. After J did some doctoring we couldn't upload it to our card site...so after several attempts we threw it out the window and started over. You'll have to wait to see what we ended up with!

Did you notice the new do? I guess I'm having a mid-life crisis...I cut it all off! I should have had J photoshop some lipstick on me...man I look pasty!

Bryceisms...

One of Bryce's new things to do is to take all the books out of the book basket and proceed to sit in it. The only problem is...getting out! So after he tries 3-4 times to get out, and can't, he sits and cries until someone can come help him.

Bryce had one other fun adventure this week. I was working on cooking dinner and Bryce crawled in to our room...which isn't an unusual occurrence, but when he didn't ever come out I went to check on him. I found him in our bathroom playing...splashing...having a grand-ole-time in the toilet! Gross... There was water everywhere! walls, floor, Bryce...what a mess.

OK, I know I'm WAY overdue on posting birthday picts and Halloween picts...I'll get them up eventually. We went for Bryce's well visit this morning. He's going to be lean and mean like Landon. He's 23 lbs 5.5 oz and 32 inches long. That's 50th percentile for weight and 97th percentile for height. Man am I GLAD to get him off of formula! I feel like we've gotten a raise :)
